I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
